The Lundquist Alumni Network is an organization for graduates of the University of Oregon Lundquist College of Business. The club is open to both graduate and undergraduate alumni. The main core of the membership is currently centered around the Portland, Oregon metro area.


FINANCE, INVESTING, AND ECONOMICS:

Smartmoney Map of the Market This is a tool that shows companies as rectangles sized according to sector and market capitalization. It can identify the biggest gainers or losers, and color codes the companies according to their price change. It also provides more details such as key ratios, insider trading, and news.

This firm helps you negotiate with automobile insurance adjusters. They can help you get a fair settlement for your damaged car. You may be able to recover something for your car's diminished value after an accident.

Zillow.com is the most popular site that gives free value estimates. Just provide an address. They also have other tools for buyers, sellers, owners, and agents.

Realestate.com also provides free value estimates. They also provide tools to find properties and financing.

Realestateabc.com is another source for free value estimates. It too has other resources.

Reply.com claims to have "Everything you need to know about nearly every Home and Auto in America." They also provide free price estimates.

Cyberhomes.com lets you "Search more than 100,000,000 property records." Another source for free price estimates.

The Value your Home site is a service of Fidelity National Financial and the Wall Street Journal's RealEstate Journal. This site does not provide estimates, but shows recient comparable sales and average price information (per square foot and bedroom) for the area. They also show price and volume trends. This is very useful information for pricing.

MAPS AND GEOGRAPHIC INFORMATION:

Google Earth Is a program that lets you look fly around a globe made of satellite images of the earth. You will need a broadband connection, and to download and install the program.

Mapquest An interactive atlas.

Microsoft TerraServer A site that lets you look at satellite images of the earth, as small as one-meter resolution. Perhaps you can even see your house.

City of Portland Maps Maps of the Portland, Oregon metro area. Also provides crime, tax, and government service information. Includes aerial photos and water and sewer locations within the city limits.
